how to use:
This map shows the latest 200 earthquakes registered by the United States Geological Survey and the latest volcanic activity reports provided by the Smithsonian Institution: Global Volcanisme Program.
Earthquakes are represented as colored circular proportional symbols: the bigger the symbol is, the highest the earthquake's magnitude was.
Volcanoes reports are represented as red triangles and colored lines show tectonic plates boundaries.
Click on a symbol on the map to get detailed information on the right side of the screen.
Hover on a text box in the list will activate bouncing of the linked symbol on the map.
Show graph button will display a graphical view of the earthquake repartition.
Update button will reset the map and fetch latest earthquakes from USGS database.
Search box will filter earthquakes upon their location and magnitude. The events on the list are also filtered by zooming on the map.
